Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of departmental staff and oversee workload and operational goal execution
Provide guidance on work processes, procedures, and problem resolution
Manage day-to-day workload and execute team goals and expectations
Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture
Serve as primary contact for operational updates and escalations, including customer-facing engagement
Ensure employees are trained and respond professionally, courteously, quickly, and accurately to inquiries
Provide ongoing coaching, development feedback, and formal performance evaluations
Establish performance goals and monitor progress with departmental and cross-functional teams
Identify and address system or process gaps
Identify trends, determine root causes, document and report problems, and implement solutions
Conduct random audits and create performance improvement plans as needed
Develop and implement short- and long-term service objectives when approved
Respond to escalated issues from clients and customers
Represent the department on corporate projects

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required), or 7+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of degree
5+ years of experience in a related field
Proven leadership or supervisory experience
Experience in membership, enrollment, health insurance operations, customer operations, or related business functions
Experience leading teams through change while maintaining operational performance
Experience partnering with multiple business areas and stakeholders
Experience presenting information to leadership, clients, or cross-functional teams
