About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage day-to-day relationships between business stakeholders and vendors
  • Serve as the primary communicator and liaison between vendors and business stakeholders
  • Provide performance metric updates, manage capacity and demand, and remediate escalations
  • Facilitate vendor onboarding through communications, site visits, and training
  • Educate vendors on program, product, and operational details
  • Transition business processes and/or operations successfully
  • Partner with business leads to define evolving service needs, expectations, and requirements
  • Analyze performance gaps and address them through process improvements, training, or other interventions
  • Review vendor work for quality issues and manage service improvement plans
  • Provide input to vendor contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal business partners on vendor strategy discussions
  • Provide data, knowledge, and feedback on vendor operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required), or 5+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Pharmacy, PBM, specialty pharmacy, prescription benefits, formulary, claims, medication management, or healthcare vendor experience highly preferred
  • Direct vendor management, supplier management, service delivery, account management, provider relations, or external partner ownership highly preferred
  • KPI, scorecard, dashboard, reporting, or performance management experience
  • Experience holding external organizations accountable for performance, service levels, quality, or contract commitments
  • Knowledge of vendor governance practices, SLAs, CAPs, and performance improvement methodologies
  • Experience identifying root causes, resolving complex operational issues, and implementing sustainable process improvements
  • Exposure to audits, compliance programs, regulatory requirements, or other highly regulated business environments
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple business areas
  • Experience supporting vendor implementations, operational transitions, or service delivery enhancements
