About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead initiatives supporting development, testing, verification, certification, and operations of supply chain tools across Blue Origin programs
  • Understand user needs and behaviors through research, interviews, and workshops
  • Identify digital and procedural solution opportunities
  • Develop strategies and approaches for future capabilities
  • Use prototyping and experimentation to support decisions and measure impact
  • Collaborate with executives, design and research partners, product owners, supply chain teams, and internal and external partners
  • Establish, document, and improve supply chain processes and products
  • Support compliance data collection, cycle-time improvement, user acceptance, and defect and rework reduction
  • Create design strategies across emerging technology and human-experience intersections
  • Scout and propose innovative technologies across engineering, analysis, operations, testing, and verification
  • Develop and communicate tool roadmaps and plans to leadership and partners
  • Evaluate and facilitate commercial software purchases and deployment
  • Collaborate with Enterprise campaigns, Engineering and Business Leaders, and Program Partners on continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years track record of building software or digital solutions
  • Aerospace industry experience or equivalent safety-critical environment
  • Strong appreciation for human-centered design and outstanding customer experiences
  • Experience collaborating with creative partners
  • Track record of developing cohesive, compelling strategic visions for experience, product, and service challenges
  • Ability to support up to 10% domestic travel
  • Passion for Blue Origin's mission and vision
  • U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residency, or lawful admission to the U.S. as a refugee or asylee
  • Systems engineering and aerospace engineering experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within a matrix organization
  • Experience working with senior leadership and key partners to manage business changes
  • Experience developing applications around enterprise systems such as Windchill, Jama, ERP, MRP, and their APIs
