About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as senior programmatic lead and individual contributor for GS2 Gen 1.X Upgrades for New Glenn
- Partner with the Director to drive execution across design engineering, qualification and verification, test, and rate production
- Own programmatic health and ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned with New Glenn priorities
- Connect technical teams with program leadership
- Translate strategy into executable plans
- Track performance and resolve issues proactively
- Own programmatic processes, tools, and coordination efforts
- Act as a trusted advisor and force multiplier for the Director
- Support safe, repeatable human spaceflight and New Glenn’s mission
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Engineering or a relevant technical field
- 12+ years of engineering or technical program management experience
- Senior individual contributor experience driving programmatic execution in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Hands-on experience with project and performance management, integrated master scheduling, and budget management
- Ability to synthesize complex technical and programmatic information and communicate clearly across all organizational levels
- Track record of identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and driving issue resolution
- Ability to make decisions and drive progress in complex and ambiguous environments
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen an inclusive culture
- Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and vision
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted U.S. refugee or asylee
- Desired: Advanced degree or equivalent background in Engineering or Aerospace
- Desired: MBA or MS in Engineering Management, or comparable professional experience
- Desired: Launch vehicle or space system integration and testing experience
- Desired: Experience leveraging AI for scope and project management
- Desired: Experience across design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, test, new product introduction, and recurring production
- Desired: Earned Value Management experience
- Desired: Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, and SQL
- Desired: PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or Lean Manufacturing certifications
