About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design EGSE electrical hardware components, including interface boards, cable harnesses, breakout assemblies, and signal conditioning circuits
- Develop and maintain EGSE electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, and interface control documents
- Verify signal integrity, power distribution, and grounding/shielding compliance; support acceptance testing
- Provide DFM and DFT inputs covering test point access, connector accessibility, and mate/demate cycle life
- Support EMI/EMC requirements compliance review and EGSE EMI characterization
- Support PCB layout and cable harness design reviews before fabrication release
- Support transition of EGSE electrical designs to production-line ground support equipment
- Interface with VTB Electrical Integration and Electrical Test teams on hardware interface requirements
- Maintain EGSE electrical documentation and BOM accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, schematic capture, or GSE/test equipment development in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics
- Experience with schematic capture tools and EDA software such as Altium, Zuken, Cadence, or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and connector pinouts
- Familiarity with signal integrity, grounding, and shielding principles for mixed-signal electronics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce clear electrical design documentation
- U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residency, or lawful admission to the U.S. as a refugee or asylee
- Ability to pass Blue's Standard Background Check
- Additional DBIDS background check if the role requires work on a military installation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Merchant Mariner Credential for certain job profiles
