About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Track vehicle and VTB hardware reliability metrics, including MTBF, failure rates, maintenance history, and spare utilization
- Maintain reliability dashboards and report trends to program leadership
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules for bench and test equipment
- Coordinate with the test team on preventive maintenance execution and documentation
- Lead or support FMEA/FMECA activities for Design for Reliability decisions
- Perform failure analysis on test anomalies and recommend design or process corrective actions
- Develop production line reliability acceptance criteria, incoming inspection requirements, and qualification-by-similarity analyses
- Support production line qualification through reliability growth tracking, test escape prevention processes, and qualification test matrix adequacy reviews
- Interface with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality on reliability requirements, failure-mode mitigation, and corrective-action closure
- Maintain reliability analysis documentation and support program design reviews with reliability data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field
- 4+ years of experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, or systems engineering in an aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics program
- Experience developing or supporting FMEA/FMECA analyses for complex hardware systems
- Background in failure analysis methods and root cause investigation for hardware anomalies
- Familiarity with reliability metrics including MTBF, failure rate, and availability
- Familiarity with standard reliability prediction methods such as MIL-HDBK-217 or equivalent
- Experience with nonconformance management, anomaly disposition, and corrective action processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present reliability findings and recommendations to program leadership
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Standard background check required
