About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own production release of the Digital Beamformer SOC from tape-out compliance through production qualification
- Formulate and execute characterization and qualification plans for AFE, DFE, element datapath, beam datapath, and synchronization/timing calibration subsystems
- Drive validation and test engineering teams for measurements and data collection
- Own statistical analysis, qualification, ATE correlation, production test-limit setting, and datasheet parameter validation
- Define engineering validation requirements for SOC interfaces including Digital SerDes, SDIF, host Ethernet, SPI/I3C slave, and FEIC control interfaces
- Lead failure analysis across production, coordinating with design teams, OSATs, and laboratories to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Develop and validate ATE test solutions, including DFT-based structural and functional testing
- Assess and validate radiation-mitigation features such as SEU scrubbing, redundancy, and error correction
- Review NPI hardware designs including load boards, probe cards, characterization boards, and validation boards
- Drive cost reductions through yield improvement, test-time optimization, and ATE coverage rationalization
- Manage low-yield events, RMAs, and in-field anomalies
- Interface between NPI teams, backend operations, and OSATs
- Define and monitor production-health KPIs and report to program and operations leadership
- Improve NPI processes for SOC bring-up complexity and multi-die integration
- Mentor junior team members in mixed-signal and digital SOC product engineering
