About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and maintain an integrated Bazel-centric build system for C/C++ firmware, Go/Java/Python microservices, and containerized cloud workloads
  • Implement hermetic, reproducible build practices producing identical artifacts from the same source revision
  • Manage cross-compilation toolchains for ARM and RISC-V embedded targets and standardized Docker/OCI runtime environments
  • Design and scale concurrent containerized CI/CD pipelines integrating unit tests, integration tests, and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations
  • Automate cloud software containerization with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Manage versioning and deployment strategies for microservices handling network orchestration, telemetry ingestion, and satellite constellation management
  • Define release lifecycles for multi-target deployments
  • Automate signed, secure, and verifiable OTA hardware images and cloud container images
  • Manage the monorepo structure and dependency graph across firmware, middleware, and cloud service code

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in build/release engineering, DevOps, or SRE, focused on embedded/firmware and distributed cloud services
  • Expert-level proficiency in Bazel
  • Extensive experience with CMake/Ninja for firmware and Gradle/Maven/Go Modules for services
  • Deep knowledge of Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee
  • Ability to pass Blue’s Standard Background Check
