Key responsibilities & impact

Lead projects and initiatives building software products for sourcing, inventory control, manufacturing and quality, test operations, and related areas
Write high-quality, efficient, maintainable code in Java, Python, and TypeScript
Design and build web interfaces using React and Angular
Design automated monitoring and alerting with cloud platforms and services
Implement AI workflows and software development lifecycle processes for efficient delivery
Reduce technical debt, maintain high ticket counts, ensure high availability, minimize mean time to recovery, and implement extensive monitoring and alerting
Lead technical design reviews and build repeatable software delivery processes
Mentor junior software developers
Travel to Blue Origin manufacturing facilities up to 10% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of professional software development experience
Background researching and incorporating modern AI/ML tools
Proficiency or expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Strong project management skills capable of leading multiple priorities
U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residency, or lawful admission to the U.S. as a refugee or asylee
Successful completion of Blue’s Standard Background Check
Technical assessment during interviews
