About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and maturation of the system’s digital twin using MBSE methodologies
  • Define, manage, and allocate system requirements, interfaces, and behaviors within a system model
  • Facilitate systems engineering execution, including rapid verification, validation, and lesson-learned feedback
  • Drive system-level trade studies and analyses using model-based simulations
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, integration, and test teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Define and champion the model-based verification and validation strategy
  • Develop and implement systems engineering processes and tools to increase velocity and reduce ambiguity
  • Mentor engineers across disciplines on MBSE and agile systems engineering practices
  • Serve as a primary technical authority and change agent for systems engineering practices
  • Lead complex system development from concept through deployment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex, multidisciplinary systems
  • Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience in fast, iterative development environments on hardware-centric projects
  • Strong fundamentals in requirements analysis, interface management, system integration, and verification
  • Ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
  • Experience bringing a commercialized product to market
  • Experience through a full program life cycle from design to verification and validation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for authorization under U.S. export regulations
  • Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Preferred: Expertise with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler/MagicDraw, Sparx EA, or similar
  • Preferred: Proficiency in SysML or UAF
  • Preferred: Experience operationalizing digital twins for verification, validation, and operations
  • Preferred: Experience transitioning teams or programs to model-based systems engineering
  • Preferred: Agile training or certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster or SAFe Agilist
  • Preferred: Experience as a Lead Systems Engineer, Product Owner, or Scrum Master
  • Preferred: Python or MATLAB scripting proficiency
  • Preferred: Familiarity or fluency with AI tools for systems modeling or requirements analysis
  • Background check required for all positions
