Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic cross-functional projects guiding high-value and high-impact supply-chain decisions
  • Analyze capability, capacity, and resource requirements for vertically integrating critical components
  • Deep-dive process-specific challenges and communicate relevant information for senior leadership evaluation
  • Perform insource-versus-outsource strategic and financial analyses
  • Evaluate technical capability, cost-benefit tradeoffs, and inventory strategies
  • Author process documents and manage enterprise software requirements
  • Create strategic business processes and charter the toolsets needed to launch them
  • Develop reliable, repeatable processes to streamline data collection and analysis
  • Evaluate resources, costs, cycle times, and lead times for targeted projects
  • Lead initiatives across supply chain and spaceflight systems with peers and cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and vision
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Ability to develop comprehensive resourcing and capacity models
  • Ability to lead and present cross-functional initiatives for senior leaders
  • Proven success owning and driving a project from start to finish
  • Experience leading quantitative and qualitative projects
  • Demonstrated success in a highly ambiguous environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • MBA, other relevant graduate degree, or 5+ years of operations/supply chain experience
  • U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residency, or lawful admission to the U.S. as a refugee or asylee
  • Blue’s Standard Background Check
  • Experience in an engineering-development organization (desired)
  • Industrial Engineering experience (desired)
  • Aerospace experience (desired)
  • Corporate finance experience (desired)
  • SQL or other coding ability (desired)
