About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Recruit highly specialized engineering talent in Structural, Mechanical, Avionics, and Electrical Engineering, including roles requiring security clearance
  • Identify, interview, and hire talent for designing, testing, manufacturing, and launching reusable spaceflight systems
  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic talent advisor to leadership at all levels
  • Develop sourcing models, talent pools, networks, pipelines, and robust search strategies
  • Calibrate candidates with hiring managers and develop prospects into candidates
  • Engage prospects, sustain relationships, screen, and interview candidates
  • Collaborate with, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition Team members
  • Partner with hiring managers and business unit leaders in scoping discussions, weekly tag-ups, and candidate debriefs
  • Prepare or contribute to search status reports
  • Lead or participate in client update meetings on active searches
  • Analyze the technical requirements of requisitions and supported business units

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent of experience in recruiting
  • 8+ years of Technical Recruiting experience including Engineering, Manufacturing, or IT positions
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and advise business leaders
  • Demonstrated success generating leads using a variety of platforms and sourcing methods
  • Passion for Blue Origin’s mission and vision
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted U.S. refugee or asylee
  • Required to complete Blue’s Standard Background Check
  • Preferred: experience in Manufacturing, Space, Aerospace and Defense, Oil & Gas, Nuclear Power, Technology, or Aviation industries
  • Preferred: proficiency with Workday
  • Preferred: exempt and non-exempt position recruiting experience
  • Preferred: combination of agency and corporate environment recruiting experience
  • Preferred: high-volume recruiting experience
  • Preferred: startup experience
