About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain avionics electrical test hardware, test plans, and verification cross-reference matrices for spaceflight avionics components
  • Derive electrical test requirements from system specifications, ICDs, schematics, and safety requirements
  • Specify and design avionics test equipment to meet manufacturing rates
  • Coordinate with Systems, Production, and Design Engineers to define interface test requirements
  • Own hardware test procedure development, review, and approval from initial draft through qualification and acceptance
  • Lead bench-level, vehicle-level, and pre-launch electrical test campaigns, including power-on, functional verification, harness continuity, and EMI/EMC testing
  • Lead anomaly investigation and resolution for electrical test discrepancies, driving root-cause analysis and corrective action through closure
  • Partner with manufacturing and production engineering to integrate test infrastructure with production flow, tooling, and vehicle build sequence
  • Identify and drive test automation, instrumentation, and data acquisition infrastructure to reduce cycle time
  • Design scalable electrical test and support equipment for repeatable, high-throughput execution across multiple vehicles
  • Design producible electrical test interfaces, including standardized GSE connectors and modular test racks
  • Drive production metrics including unit-to-unit test time, first-pass yield, and anomaly rate
