About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee site appearance, maintenance, safety standards, security protocols, and operational efficiency across extended sites
  • Coordinate with facilities management on infrastructure needs and improvements
  • Communicate site restrictions, closures, and reopening status related to operations, product testing, or weather incidents
  • Determine site space utilization, including office planning, production, material movement, and storage requirements
  • Manage facility tours and dignitary visits
  • Develop, document, and implement consistent site operating standards and playbooks with peer site leaders and enterprise functions
  • Surface local needs to enterprise leadership and support broader site strategy
  • Support onboarding and setup of new site locations
  • Participate in safety meetings, operational reviews, and internal and external audits
  • Drive safety culture and site-wide employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain communication channels to inform and engage employees across sites
  • Champion company values and align corporate vision with local site execution
  • Represent Blue Origin with local government officials, community organizations, at local events, industry forums, and community engagements
  • Collaborate on site-specific public relations matters
  • Coordinate monthly site operational results for product line and business leaders
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Facilities, EHS, Production, Business Leaders, Security, and engagement teams
  • Escalate unresolved site-level issues to enterprise leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, or multi-site management environments
  • Experience developing and managing annual operating plans, budgets, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement scalable standards and processes across multiple locations
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and community relations experience
  • Strong employee relations, people leadership, and communication skills, including public speaking for diverse audiences
  • Track record of successful employee engagement programs
  • Comfort representing Blue Origin’s mission and brand publicly with government officials, community organizations, and at industry events
  • Ability to travel regularly across sites in scope, up to 75% travel
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Required to complete Blue’s Standard Background Check
