About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Formulate comprehensive business cases, conduct market sizing analyses, and develop pricing strategies for new and existing products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve short-term sales wins and long-term strategic advantages
  • Lead market research assessments to guide investment decisions and product design
  • Use business acumen, market expertise, and space domain knowledge to formulate corporate and business strategies with actionable recommendations
  • Advise corporate development activities, including investment thesis formulation and deal diligence
  • Amplify the customer voice throughout technical product development and convey product value propositions to customers
  • Represent Blue Origin externally at events, conferences, and customer meetings
  • Provide centralized strategic support across Blue Origin business units, functions, and locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy formulation, including consulting, product development, or investing
  • Solid understanding of the space industry’s customer and competitor dynamics
  • Experience with detailed market research, data analysis, and quantitative economic and financial modelling
  • Excellent written and verbal executive communication skills
  • Comfort applying analytical frameworks to address ambiguous problems
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Familiarity with U.S. budgeting, appropriations, and contracting processes, particularly for government space agencies, preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, preferred
