  • Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget, and technical status
  • Support other teams and team members with inputs for configuration development and trade studies
  • Support the design, analysis, and delivery of Blue Ring spacecraft systems for national security missions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil
  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle structures or mechanisms analysis
  • Familiarity with classical strength analysis methods, such as Bruhn, Niu, Roark, and Shigley
  • Ability to understand and build free-body diagrams for internal and reaction load derivation
  • Experience with one or more finite element modeling packages; ABAQUS or HyperWorks strongly desired
  • Strong understanding of FEM modeling techniques, including boundary conditions, bolted connections, contact, verification methods, and elastic and elastoplastic analysis
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
