About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the launch vehicle, ground equipment, and personnel are readied for all phases of New Glenn missions, including build, test, pre-launch, boost, orbital operations, landing, and recovery
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for design, test, software, operations, and refurbishment artifacts
  • Decompose the time-phased Sequence of Operations into operational constraints, alerts, and limits
  • Ensure accurate and consistent integration of operating requirements into procedures, scripts, and displays used during vehicle operations
  • Provide real-time console support for integrated tests, launch, and recovery operations, including troubleshooting
  • Assess, identify, and support fixes for gaps or optimizations in the system operational timeline
  • Understand subsystem control software across flight and ground systems to ensure safety and mission success
  • Provide operational feedback to subsystem designers and support operational analysis
  • Contribute to the development, integration, and implementation of the New Glenn operational architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) or another technical field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Aerospace or large-scale system integration
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering principles and processes
  • Experience in at least one area of analysis, design, or integrated testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and capable of balancing several tasks at one time
  • Experience in system development and integration, preferably with aerospace flight hardware
  • Hands-on system integration experience; familiarity with test, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of fluid system design, including P&ID development
  • Familiarity with current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS Next Gen
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Required to complete Blue’s Standard Background Check
