About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare, publish, and maintain GIS data for web mapping applications in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Configure and support ArcGIS Solutions and Esri configurable apps, including ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, Field Maps, Survey123, and StoryMaps
- Work with clients to acquire, process, and organize data
- Perform spatial and raster analysis
- Design clear, visually compelling maps, including symbology, labeling, pop-ups, and layouts for web and print
- Automate repetitive data workflows in Python, ModelBuilder, FME, or similar tools
- Document workflows and help teammates learn tools and best practices
- Participate in client conversations, help shape project next steps, and contribute to web GIS applications with global impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in the GIS industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS Pro 3.x, including extensions such as Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst
- Experience with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including explaining technical work to non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Keen interest in learning new technology and sharing what you learn with others
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; the employer is unable to sponsor for this position
- Python scripting experience (ArcPy and/or the ArcGIS API for Python) is nice to have
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and enterprise geodatabases is nice to have
- Arcade expressions for Dashboards, pop-ups, and Field Maps is nice to have
- Esri technical certifications are nice to have
- Involvement in the GIS community, such as conferences, user groups, or webinars is nice to have
