About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, validate, and shepherd the construction autonomy strategy from concept to success
Collaborate with Deere Product and Engineering teams to define the target customer, ODD, and MVP
Drive rapid customer-facing experimentation to validate or invalidate early concepts
Build customer, business, and market understanding through qualitative and quantitative research
Define requirements for perception, SLAM, ODD, collision hazard detection, and safety systems
Define requirements for in-field machine behavior, including path planning, guidance, and machine controls
Define system performance criteria and ensure the product meets changing customer expectations
Define and execute the data collection strategy for model development; own the test set
Collaborate with leadership on the long-term product vision and roadmap
Do whatever is required to make the product successful

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience as a product manager in a technology company
Strong technical competency in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) systems
Ability to collaboratively solve unstructured, ambiguous problems
Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and engage with people from diverse backgrounds
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical product information clearly, concisely, and creatively
Ability to galvanize a team around a mission
Delivery focus and understanding of software development challenges faced by cross-functional engineering teams
Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and modern product management methodologies
Preferred: experience with or knowledge of the autonomy space
Preferred: entrepreneurial experience taking a product from ideation to commercialization
Preferred: experience working on a Platform team
Preferred: MBA or MSE
