About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Medicare Advantage Operations by providing scheduled and ad hoc reports
Collaborate with Claims, Membership, Medical Management, Sales & Marketing, Change Management, and the STARS team
Review, extract, and analyze data for procedures, processes, and requirements
Provide reports to identify problematic areas and support modification or elimination of operational issues
Assist with complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretation
Perform focused analyses as needed
Create data search programs to identify pertinent data for system or operational enhancements and changes
Document reporting procedures so staff can independently run ad hoc reports
Design, code, and maintain complex database programs for data extraction and analysis supporting financial and operational decisions
Run queries to pull data from DB2 relational databases on the host mainframe to generate reports for Medicare Advantage Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's in a job related field
Associates degree plus an extra 2 years job-related experience for a total of 4 years of required work experience, or 6 total years required work experience
2 Years Research and analysis experience
Strong organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills
Ability to use complex mathematical calculations
Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts
Knowledge of relevant computer support systems
Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases
Ability to analyze data results, determine the source of aberrant statistics, and resolve data issues
Microsoft Office
Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes
This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred: 1 year of Medicare Advantage experience
Preferred: 1 year experience using IBM Query Management Facility mainframe software (QMF) or QMF for Workstation in Windows
Preferred: 2 years SQL or DB2 programming language experience
