About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Transform and expand test automation across digital web applications, mobile applications, mobile browsers, and integrated digital platforms
- Build and maintain scalable automation using Selenium WebDriver and Java
- Automate cross-browser and database validation and support API automation
- Serve as a technical automation resource for agile delivery teams
- Increase automated test coverage, reduce manual testing dependencies, and improve release speed, stability, and quality
- Contribute to AI-augmented testing practices and digital quality transformation
- Prepare testing strategies and test plans and perform assigned testing, including end-to-end validation across multiple teams
- Gather project requirements and create and review testing specification artifacts
- Review requirements, identify gaps, and estimate small to medium projects
- Derive test scenarios, design test cases, document and create test data, execute testing, and report results
- Perform functional and/or performance automation testing
- Recommend improvements to quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to communicate test artifacts, results, and metrics
- Provide occasional after-hours validation/deployment support for production releases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or relevant open-source tools such as Playwright and Java
- Experience automating testing for web applications and cross-browser environments
- SQL and database testing experience, including writing queries and automating database validations
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM), TestNG, or hybrid testing frameworks
- API validation and automation using Rest Assured
- Experience building scalable, maintainable automation solutions
- Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated test runs
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools preferred
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve QA efficiency preferred
- Candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones preferred
- Bachelor's degree in information technology/software engineering or relevant work experience
- Alternatively, 4 years of professional software-industry experience in a corporate environment
- 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, or minimum 2 years in the SQA Analyst I role
- 3 years of experience with SQL Server or equivalent databases
- 3 years of experience testing applications without GUI testing, including APIs/web services, back-end processing, file processing, or system interfaces
- 3 years of experience in test automation or performance testing, including troubleshooting
- 2 years of experience working with Agile delivery teams and associated methodologies
- Familiarity with IT industry standards such as ITIL, COBIT, and IEEE
- Knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies
- Skilled in DevOps tools and technologies
- Exposure to cloud application platforms
- Technical presentation and interpersonal skills
