About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Scale Go production services to hundreds of millions of users
- Build mission-critical data infrastructure powering the AT Protocol ecosystem
- Build services scaling across tens of terabytes of RAM, thousands of CPU cores, and petabytes of NVMe storage
- Work on AT Protocol-oriented services running on dense, latest-generation bare-metal servers in company racks
- Maintain systems serving hundreds of thousands of events per second
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong fundamental programming and software engineering skills
- Extensive experience with Go (e.g. 3+ years)
- Experience building scalable backend systems (1M+ ops/sec)
- Familiarity with the upper limits of operating systems, networks, and storage
- Significant experience with database systems such as Postgres, MySQL, or SQLite
- Experience with data stores such as Scylla/Cassandra, Redis, or ClickHouse
- High ownership and production service operation standards
- Ability to work on small, fast-moving teams
- Read the AT Protocol documentation and want to contribute
- Resume and links to GitHub, GitLab, or a portfolio of past work attached together
- Must work with significant overlap of US/Pacific hours
