About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting
- Provide direct patient care
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate
- Ensure care complies with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines
- Work within collaborative clinical teams of therapists and a psychiatric prescriber
- Participate in regular staffing with collaborating therapists at least monthly
- Discuss patient cases, treatment coordination, and clinical topics
- Participate in virtual clinical team meetings
- Attend BlueSky clinical conferences four times per week; at least once weekly during the first 90 days and monthly thereafter
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must hold an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one served state: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA
- Must be willing to obtain additional state licenses as needed
- Prior experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred but not required
- Must not own or operate a private practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse healthcare professionals
- Strong clinical background in psychiatry and behavioral health
- Strong knowledge and experience in assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatment
- Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions
- Strong computer skills and comfort using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and basic technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to provide patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth environment
