About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting
- Provide direct patient care
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate
- Deliver care in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines
- Work within collaborative clinical teams of therapists and a psychiatric prescriber
- Connect with eligible psychotherapists seeking a prescriber and participate in team matching
- Participate in staffing with collaborating therapists at least monthly to discuss patient cases, treatment coordination, and clinical topics
- Provide clinical services remotely from home
- Participate in virtual clinical team meetings
- Attend BlueSky clinical conferences four times per week; attendance required at least weekly during the first 90 days and monthly thereafter
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one served state: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed
- Prior PMHNP experience preferred but not required
- Must not own or operate a private practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse healthcare professionals
- Strong clinical background in psychiatry and behavioral health
- Strong knowledge and experience assessing and diagnosing psychiatric disorders and providing psychopharmacological treatment
- Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions
- Strong computer skills and comfort using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and basic technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to provide patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth environment
