About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting
- Provide direct patient care
- Conduct patient assessments
- Develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications as necessary
- Ensure patient care complies with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Join a team composed of therapists and a prescriber through the onboarding matching process
- Collaborate regularly with therapists, at least monthly, to discuss patient cases or clinical topics
- Attend clinical conferences four times a week, with required attendance initially and monthly thereafter
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a PMHNP license
- Open to licensing in alternative states
- Prior work as a PMHNP preferred but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals
- Solid computer and basic technology skills
- Strong clinical background in psychiatry
- Strong background in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments
- Familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Attend at least one clinical conference per week for the first 90 days of employment; thereafter, attend one monthly
