About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and harden the architecture AI agents run on, including the MCP surface, guardrails, evaluation, observability and cost control
Work AI-native every day and help shape the method development teams adopt for designing, building and shipping with AI
Own architectural guardrails for a multi-tenant AWS platform of around 200 microservices serving enterprise customers
Design robust and scalable system architectures aligned with the product roadmap
Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to uncover needs and translate business objectives into technical specifications
Evaluate emerging and established technologies and recommend appropriate architectural choices
Identify bottlenecks, weak points and third-party risks, and guide preemptive action
Define and safeguard non-functional requirements including performance, scalability and reliability
Propose improvements to processes, quality assurance and monitoring
Communicate across technical and non-technical audiences while balancing technical insight with business goals
Report to the Chief Product & Innovation Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience (5+ years) in solution or software architecture in a SaaS or cloud-based environment
Strong understanding of scalable SaaS system design, APIs and modern architecture principles
Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, monitoring and observability
Ability to assess technology options and third-party risk, and to make well-reasoned architectural decisions
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with both engineers and business stakeholders
Native Norwegian and fluent English, both written and spoken
Strong interest in AI and agentic systems and how to run them in production
