About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the global monthly accounting close process, including developing the corporate close calendar, managing close progress against deadlines, and coordinating with global accounting teams
- Lead accounting and internal control activities for share-based compensation plans, bonus plans, other global compensation programs, foreign currency matters, intercompany transactions, lease accounting, derivative accounting, business combinations, debt modifications, and other centralized accounting processes
- Perform technical research, oversight, evaluation, and documentation for significant and complex transactions, new accounting pronouncements, and ad hoc questions
- Serve as the Company’s technical accounting resource for regional accounting, revenue accounting, and global shared services functions
- Serve as principal liaison with external auditors regarding technical accounting positions
- Manage and oversee valuation efforts for goodwill impairment testing, M&A transactions, share-based awards, derivatives, and other matters
- Lead preparation of quarterly and annual investor/lender financial reporting packages and presentations
- Provide oversight of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, EBITDA reporting, disclosure information, document review, and external auditor support
- Lead M&A accounting initiatives including diligence, purchase agreement drafting assistance, purchase accounting, intangible asset valuation, and accounting integration
- Lead a team of managers/senior-level accounting personnel and provide dotted-line oversight of global shared services in Pune, India
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Human Resources, and other departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- CPA
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of work experience with demonstrated progression
- Proficiency in technical accounting areas
- Current or prior public accounting experience within a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Extensive experience in SEC financial reporting, accounting, and financial controls in a public company environment or public accounting firm
- Extremely strong GAAP and technical research skills
- Proficiency with selected software applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Oracle and OneStream is a plus
