About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform activities related to external financial reporting and technical accounting research and documentation
  • Supervise the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
  • Liaise with treasury, tax, regional accounting teams, global shared services, human resources, and legal
  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including reviewing quarterly and annual investor/lender reporting packages, presentations, and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with SEC rules and regulations
  • Work with finance functions and assist external auditors
  • Perform corporate accounting for compensation-related areas, contingencies, facility leases, and complex transactions
  • Research, evaluate, and document significant transactions including equity and debt offerings, M&A, new ventures, complex lease contracts, and non-standard purchase contracts
  • Support M&A accounting initiatives including diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheet allocation, intangible asset valuation, and technical integration
  • Evaluate new accounting literature and lead implementation of new pronouncements
  • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and improve controls and processes
  • Formulate conclusions and documentation on goodwill impairment, long-lived asset impairment, complex leases, discontinued operations, held-for-sale accounting, and other technical accounting topics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • 5+ years of work experience with demonstrated progression
  • Proficiency in technical accounting areas
  • Solid experience in SEC financial reporting, accounting, and financial controls within a publicly traded corporate financial environment or Big 4 public accounting firm at a management level
  • Strong GAAP and technical research skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to partner with senior management across multiple corporate functions
  • Ability to document technical positions in critical policy and other memoranda
  • Ability to discuss and defend technical positions, including with external auditors
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and within strict deadlines
