About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in three 5-month rotations across a variety of roles and functions
  • Support research, development, implementation, and execution of business initiatives
  • Analyze business challenges, identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and contribute to strategic projects across U.S. Banking and the COO organization
  • Conduct market research, forecasting, pricing, and competitive analysis
  • Monitor product and system performance and develop solutions
  • Analyze product risks for legal, regulatory, risk compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with internal partners to take products to market
  • Support strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
  • Build relationships and ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Monitor performance, develop metrics, identify trends, and address issues
  • Support change management and operational program implementation
  • Gather customer and sales feedback and analyze issues
  • Evaluate market research, competitive analysis, customer insights, and channel information
  • Act as day-to-day vendor contact and support vendor solution implementation and maintenance
  • Resolve internal, first-level customer escalations
  • Design, implement, manage, and enhance business processes and products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop business cases, strategic roadmaps, product documentation, templates, and requirements
  • Develop and monitor action plans to optimize financial performance
  • Improve processes and customer experience
  • Develop Salesforce training and materials and manage change
  • Support sales teams with client deals and presentations
  • Develop marketing strategies, offers, and campaigns
  • Influence or determine credit product risk parameters and metrics
  • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and comply with policies, laws, and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of retail and business banking environmental awareness / understanding
  • Good methodology and process skills
  • Good analytics and reporting skills
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience
  • Desirable: software and systems architecture knowledge
  • Desirable coding languages: SQL, Python, Power BI
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth collaboration and team skills
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth influence skills
  • In-depth data-driven decision-making skills
