About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide financial and investment planning and advice in the customer’s best interests
  • Determine client needs and sell managed products and services, including mutual funds and retirement savings plans
  • Provide indirect solutions through referrals to business partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must meet the regulatory/governing body licensing and registration requirements of a Financial Planner in the province or territory of employment
  • Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth collaboration and team skills
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
