Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute sales and business development strategies that drive business results
  • Sell indirect auto lending products and identify and initiate cross-sell opportunities in the best interest of the customer
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Recommend new products and services that satisfy customer needs
  • Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and business implications
  • Assist in developing strategic plans

  • Manage risks related to auto, marine, and recreational financing, documentation, and operational integrity
  • Maintain a customer-focused discipline and build profitable dealer and customer relationships
  • Foster customer service to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations
  • Participate in activities designed to improve customer experience
  • Monitor and track performance and address issues
  • Adhere to lending processes, policies, procedures, legal, regulatory, audit, and ethical requirements
  • Liaise between clients and departments to discuss issues, procedures, and provide product support and expertise
  • Build effective stakeholder relationships and ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support
  • Independently diagnose and solve problems, including non-routine situations
  • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of indirect auto lending product offerings, pricing, dealer trends, and competitive marketplace
  • Expert knowledge of indirect auto lending regulatory requirements and underwriting guidelines
  • In-depth credit knowledge and skills
  • Working knowledge of portfolio management
  • Customer pipeline management experience - required
  • Leadership skills and customer service orientation
  • In-depth customer service skills
  • Solid change management experience
  • In-depth experience reading and analyzing production reports
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
