About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and execution of product sales strategies with acquiring partner Elavon
  • Execute strategy with BMO, partner, Moneris, and BMO sales teams using scorecards, incentives, targets, training, sales tools, collateral, leads, and marketing campaigns
  • Build relationships with regional BMO sales leaders and monitor segment performance
  • Maintain leader and sales engagement to maximize banker participation in product referrals
  • Build relationships with Elavon sales, sales support, marketing, and partnership teams
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Learning, Analytics, Risk, Finance, and Technology & Operations
  • Manage special initiatives, organic growth opportunities, technology development initiatives, and supplier governance
  • Represent BMO on payment-industry developments internally, at conferences, and with regulators
  • Lead, mentor, and coach team members
  • Recommend strategies and new initiatives to senior leaders
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on regulations and policies
  • Develop strategic plans, business cases, product roadmaps, and product lifecycle recommendations
  • Manage resources and execute strategic initiatives against business and financial goals
  • Define analytics and reporting requirements and oversee business analytics and insights
  • Lead reporting, forecasting, and analytics strategies; design regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, customer/channel analysis, and data analysis
  • Monitor product performance, growth metrics, trends, and action plans
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partnerships
  • Resolve complex customer escalations and policy exceptions
  • Complete internal and regulatory reporting and attestations
  • Identify risks and develop risk-management controls and processes
  • Develop and maintain product directives, policies, documentation, templates, and requirements
  • Design, implement, manage, and enhance products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Improve processes and customer experience
  • Develop Salesforce training and materials and manage change
  • Support sales teams with client deals and presentations
  • Create marketing strategies, offers, and campaigns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong experience with consumer/commercial credit applicable to retail and business financing products
  • Strong experience with retail and business product fundamentals, including product design, functionality, and related policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of product delivery infrastructure systems and underlying product interdependencies
  • In-depth retail and business banking environmental awareness/understanding
  • In-depth risk management associated with new and existing product development and management
  • Strong knowledge of process coordination and management
  • Strong knowledge of banking product management and associated industry and regulatory requirements
