  • Manage all UAT requests for the supported business group

  • Lead communication strategy development and collaborate on consistent messaging

  • Develop and manage test strategies, create and review traceable test cases, execute tests, escalate issues, log outcomes, facilitate defect meetings, validate resolutions and develop exit reports
  • Develop UAT solutions and advise business groups on implementation
  • Maintain end-to-end knowledge of business processes and project requirements
  • Coordinate UAT plans, participants, estimates, schedules, priorities and progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on UAT solution design and implementation
  • Monitor UAT performance results and address issues
  • Operate at group/enterprise-wide level as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Apply expertise and creative problem-solving to complex and ambiguous situations
  • Implement changes in response to shifting trends
  • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and approved Risk Appetite while protecting bank assets and adhering to laws, regulations and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience
  • At least 4 years leading UAT programs in a banking or financial services environment
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models
  • Deep expertise in UAT methodology, including test strategy, test plan design, defect triage, entry/exit criteria and formal sign-off process
  • 4+ years managing a team of UAT analysts/testers across multiple projects or business lines
  • Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities, resource constraints and delivery timelines simultaneously
  • Track record of identifying process gaps and implementing measurable improvements to UAT frameworks, tools and operating models
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira and HP ALM
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks
  • Openness to evaluating and adopting emerging tools, including AI for test case authoring and UAT documentation
