About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure compliance with AML Training Program deliverables
Develop new and update existing AML training courses
Oversee and maintain AML staffing data
Support audit/exam-related reporting requirements
Audit and examine internal AML processes, procedures, and programs
Identify, create, and update AML training materials
Manage execution activities for AML training course updates
Work with Financial Intelligence Unit and Sanctions Compliance & Watchlist Management Unit leadership on employee development needs
Collaborate with BMO Academy on course creation, uploads, enrollment, and reporting
Monitor training program performance, address issues, follow up on mandatory course completion, and escalate as needed
Support learners through the group inbox
Maintain accurate AML Office staffing data and employee lists
Generate monthly and quarterly staffing reports and metrics
Assist with quarterly and annual AML Office Staffing Assessments
Maintain training and staffing documentation
Assist with reporting and evidence gathering for exams and audits
Support AML training messaging, including writing, editing, and distributing stakeholder communications
Deliver projects and initiatives according to required timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality output

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to ensure compliance with AML Training Program deliverables
Ability to develop and update AML training courses
Ability to oversee and maintain staffing data
Ability to support audit/exam-related reporting requirements
Ability to audit and examine internal processes, procedures, and programs from an AML perspective
Ability to respond to and resolve challenges/issues and escalate when necessary
Knowledge of current regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices
Ability to manage AML training course execution activities independently
Ability to collaborate with Financial Intelligence Unit and Sanctions Compliance & Watchlist Management Unit leadership
Ability to use BMO Academy for course creation, uploads, enrollment, and reporting
Ability to monitor and track training program performance and follow up on mandatory course completion
Ability to maintain accurate staffing data and generate monthly and quarterly reports and metrics
Ability to assist with AML Office Staffing Assessments
Ability to maintain complete training and staffing documentation
Ability to gather evidence and report for exams and audits
