About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage overnight and intraday loan portfolios supporting the credit needs of financial market participants
  • Interact daily with Financial Market Utilities and Broker Dealer Clients regarding trading activity and settlement/margin obligations
  • Manage lending transactions from inception to closing
  • Structure secured and unsecured lending solutions to client liquidity needs
  • Analyze complex transactions and present findings
  • Exercise lending and analytical judgment and make timely decisions
  • Analyze financing purpose, repayment sources, and collateral quality in response to credit requests
  • Monitor assigned borrowers’ news, financial statements, earnings reports, rating agency reports, analyst reports, and industry reports
  • Recommend re-ratings of internal borrower credit ratings when appropriate
  • Assist risk management efforts and develop documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with senior relationship managers, portfolio management, client executives, and analyst teams
  • Identify existing and emerging risks based on industry trends, economic conditions, and current events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • MBA or graduate degree in a business-related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in finance, banking, credit risk management, or financial risk management
  • Strong communication skills and a record of accomplishment and excellence in delivery
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to partner with a large array of constituents
  • Ability to manage and influence change
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking, problem solving, and effective relationship skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with customers, team members, lines of business, and senior management
  • Understanding of securities clearing and margin requirements for Broker Dealer Clients
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for productivity and decision support, with appropriate judgment and governance mindset
