About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform calculations for specialized and/or complex internal and external clients
  • Complete tax and other regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Review tax and regulatory calculations and reporting prepared by junior colleagues
  • Work with clients to plan for tax and regulatory cycles
  • Validate data and documentation for filings and flag inconsistencies
  • Answer investor and internal questions regarding tax and regulatory matters
  • Provide oversight and set priorities for a specialized team
  • Contribute to team objectives
  • Support multiple complex client accounts
  • Assist the director with staff development, scheduling, new process implementation, and problem resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent certification
  • 7–10 years of total work experience
  • Experience with mortgage-backed securitizations and Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduit (REMIC) reporting
  • Experience in tax reporting and analysis preferred
