About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage a portfolio of existing clients or prospects
  • Build a new book of FX institutional client business, including Corporates, Real Money, Alternatives, and Banks
  • Cover FX clients, execute FX trades, and manage the sales book throughout the day
  • Advise prospects consultatively and evaluate market strategies, deal requirements, growth potential, financials, and product offerings
  • Develop leads and initiate contact with prospects using firm resources
  • Gather information to finalize proposals and deals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, legal, compliance, related teams, and the wider organization
  • Advise internal leadership on strategic objectives through firm solutions and offerings
  • Provide intraday and longer-term market color and keep clients informed of FX and market developments
  • Ensure relevant risk-management and compliance activities are conducted and documented
  • Close new prospects by developing negotiation strategies and analyses supporting deal structures
  • Ensure deals comply with regulations and internal controls
  • Build strategic plans for organic sales-segment growth by analyzing market trends and client wallets
  • Track and report business-development results for the assigned area or client segment
  • Assist with client onboarding as required
  • Mentor and guide junior team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred
  • 10+ years of total work experience preferred
  • Well-versed in the financial services industry
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and service-oriented approach
  • Drive to win business while mitigating risk
  • Strong track record of building client relations
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on assigned objectives and targets
