About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive global sourcing strategies across MRO, Capital Equipment, Technical Services and selected Indirect Procurement categories
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance and regional leadership
- Optimise costs and strengthen supplier performance and resilience
- Deliver sustainable value across Bodycote’s global operations
- Act as Deputy to the Global Director Strategic Procurement
- Support global procurement strategy, governance and transformation initiatives
- Influence procurement strategy across Europe, Türkiye and North America
- Shape procurement standards and supplier partnerships
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement leadership
- Ideally experience within industrial manufacturing, engineering or other technical environments
- Strong experience across MRO, CAPEX, technical services, maintenance or indirect procurement
- Proven track record of delivering measurable savings
- Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Experience managing global suppliers and complex contracts
- Experience working in multinational, matrix organisations
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and change initiatives
- Strong analytical, financial, project and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership
- Experience with SAP, procurement systems, spend analytics and e-auctions
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline
- Relevant Master's degree or procurement certification is an advantage
- Fluent English required
- German and other European languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel as required, approximately 30%
