About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as lead counsel for the 340B function on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues associated with federal programs and government price reporting
  • Advise Value & Access functions on Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and competition law matters
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management on product pricing and access matters
  • Advise on best price, WAC, AMP, ASP, and federal and state price reporting
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate complex government, payer, and trade agreements
  • Interpret and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies to inform business activities
  • Identify and communicate risks associated with complex business activities
  • Develop legal solutions and alternative fact hypotheticals to support business objectives
  • Lead negotiations on behalf of clients
  • Confer with other in-house counsel and supervise outside counsel
  • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and other department personnel
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys and other department personnel
  • Monitor evolving legal and business issues and the client's business environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • At least eight (8) to ten (10) years relevant legal experience
  • Admission to at least one State bar
  • Knowledge of law in at least two specialized areas critical to business operations
  • Strong knowledge of products, competitors, and regulatory environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in government price reporting requirements, including AMP, Best Price, ASP, 340B, and/or federal health care program contracting
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical, if required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
