About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct proactive scientific exchange with scientific experts (SCEs) in support of therapeutic-area Scientific Objectives
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with SCEs
  • Develop understanding of territory-specific healthcare systems and clinical practices
  • Answer scientific questions from SCEs and healthcare professionals about therapeutic-area, disease-state, and BI compound topics
  • Provide disease-state education
  • Support scientific experts at payer accounts and integrated delivery networks
  • Develop and monitor a territory-specific medical engagement plan
  • Assess and prioritize SCEs for engagement
  • Identify gaps between company and customer expectations, needs, and priorities
  • Support development of scientific materials and identification of training needs
  • Communicate with the therapeutic-area MSL team and share best practices and learnings
  • Interact with current and potential BI study investigators in support of clinical trials
  • Facilitate communications regarding Investigator Initiated Studies, External Collaborative Research, and company study contracts
  • Support scientific congresses and medical information activities
  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise through continuous learning
  • Identify, document, discuss, and communicate scientific insights
  • Monitor healthcare landscape changes and trends affecting care delivery
  • Collaborate with field-based medicine, CDMA, Commercial, and broader Medicine organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSc. required
  • For MSL: advanced science/clinical degree with 1+ years’ relevant experience (preferred)
  • For MSL: Masters in health sciences with 3+ years’ experience
  • For MSL: BSc. with MBA or BSN with MBA, and 5+ years’ experience
  • For MSL: PA with 3+ years’ experience
  • For MSL: other medical licensure with 7+ years of experience
  • For MSL: 2+ years’ MSL experience in relevant therapeutic area preferred
  • For AD/MSL: advanced science/clinical degree with 3+ years’ relevant experience (preferred)
  • For AD/MSL: Masters in health sciences with 5+ years’ experience
  • For AD/MSL: BSc. with MBA or BSN with MBA, and 7+ years’ experience
  • For AD/MSL: PA with 5+ years’ experience
  • For AD/MSL: other medical licensure with 9+ years’ experience
  • 2+ years’ MSL experience in relevant therapeutic area required; 4+ years preferred for AD/MSL
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interpret scientific data
  • Knowledge of regional healthcare systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%
  • Use of electronic communication tools
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical, if required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
