About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex global automation projects
- Drive CapEx projects with total project costs exceeding €50 million
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines, scope, and budget
- Deliver projects using a globally standardized approach aligned with business needs
- Communicate complex automation concepts clearly to stakeholders
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS teams
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, and other regulatory requirements
- Select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance
- Manage risks and oversee change-control processes
- Maintain effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle
- For Senior Manager: lead the Automation Discipline across Process Automation, Building Automation, and Lab Automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or related field, preferably with a focus on Industrial/Infrastructure Automation or Lab Automation
- Extensive experience in global project delivery
- Strong knowledge in Project Management
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven expertise in automation systems, e.g., DCS, SCADA, MES, PLCs
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English and German
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
- For Senior Manager: long experience managing Automation CapEx Projects over €50 million in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or large Lab Automation Projects
- For Senior Manager: exceptional and proven leadership skills
