About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software integrated into embedded devices and systems
- Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into embedded software product designs
- Build and write embedded systems software for specialized hardware
- Integrate embedded software with hardware components
- Analyze, monitor, and improve embedded software efficiency and stability
- Test and debug software for embedded devices and systems
- Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and relevant regulatory changes
- Advise on software and hardware integration domains
- Track and evaluate internal and supplier software team performance for compliance with project plans and industry standards
- Perform embedded software project management functions
- Participate in use case development
- Develop and maintain software, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for Vehicle Health Management software
- Develop and integrate complex software components with program partners and stakeholders
- Create solutions that monitor and predict military aircraft health to support maintenance decisions, automate processes, and reduce costs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor Degree
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- 2+ years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software (C, C++)
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile product development environment
- 2+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry
- Experience with Linux, Software Containers (Docker and Kubernetes), CI/CD (JIRA, Gitlab, Ansible, & Artifactory), Model Based Systems Engineering (UML, SysML, Cameo, MSOSA), and Automated Testing
- U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Must complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process
- Drug testing may be required under company policies
