About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Python and modern web frameworks
- Develop frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Own end-to-end features across design, implementation, testing, and delivery
- Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces integrating with RESTful APIs
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests across frontend and backend
- Participate in code reviews and apply best practices learned from senior engineers
- Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and QA to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Use Git for source control and run CI/CD pipelines
- Follow standard branching processes and merge request workflows
- Work in container-based development environments using Docker
- Coordinate with OS/DevOps teams as needed
- Contribute to estimation, sprint planning, and continuous process improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- English proficiency
- Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with React.js or another modern frontend framework
- Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with relational or non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB
- Experience developing web services and RESTful APIs
- Experience with a Python web framework such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
- Experience with Git and code review workflows
- Experience writing unit and integration tests, including pytest, Jest, or Testing Library
- Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm
- Experience with CI/CD and test automation
- Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products
- Experience collaborating in international and multi-national projects
