About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support loads and dynamics assessments for fixed-wing aircraft programs within the Air Dominance division
- Assist in developing air vehicle requirements
- Create vehicle-level models for loads and dynamics analysis
- Perform loads and dynamics analysis, including flight and ground simulations, flutter/divergence analysis, and noise and vibration assessments
- Assist in developing flight and ground test requirements and plans
- Support ground and flight testing through pre-test analysis, real-time monitoring, post-processing of test data, and documentation of test results
- Support airworthiness activities with regulatory agencies and internal/external customers through correspondence, presentations, and documentation
- Assist in developing vehicle flight envelope and operational limits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 2+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education
- Course work and/or work experience in Aerodynamics, Stability & Control, Structural Dynamics, Aeroelasticity, and/or Finite Element Modeling (FEM)
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Familiarity with external loads, structural dynamics, aeroelastic stability, aerodynamics, aircraft stability and control, and/or finite element modeling
- Ability to coordinate effectively with teammates, internal suppliers, and customers
- Active Secret level US security clearance preferred
- Proficiency with C, Matlab, Python, or similar higher-level programming language preferred
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), vibrations analysis, and/or multi-body dynamics (MBD) preferred
- Prior experience with static or dynamic external loads analysis preferred
- Prior experience with air vehicle ground and/or flight testing preferred
- Must satisfy Boeing's Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and be a U.S. Person
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required by the U.S. Government
