About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, design, develop and verify lifecycle-balanced systems of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements
  • Integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Perform analyses to optimize total systems of systems and/or system architecture
  • Analyze affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification and product assurance quality factors
  • Develop, organize, implement and monitor requirements management, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to align software products with customer, business and program needs
  • Work closely with software development, hardware, test and systems engineering teams and leadership
  • Support proprietary programs and other platforms in the Government Vehicle Health Management Systems portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
  • 1+ years of experience in systems engineering, including requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design
  • 1+ years of experience working systems engineering across multiple phases of the product life-cycle
  • U.S. Secret Clearance post-start required (interim and/or final)
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience; OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Preferred: Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Preferred: 1+ years’ experience building stakeholder and customer relationships
  • Experience designing and testing product systems
  • Agile development experience
  • Experience with military aircraft and proprietary programs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and CAM duties
