About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Derive and quantify data fusion algorithms and techniques, including Kalman Filters, Bayesian Networks, and statistical modeling
Author and maintain technical description documents, requirements, and algorithm analysis memos for data fusion algorithms and techniques
Analyze data fusion techniques for accuracy and effectiveness
Develop prototype algorithms using C++, Python, MatLab, and similar tools
Partner with software architects on effective and efficient algorithm implementation and design
Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations
Collaborate with customers on requirements development
Support the Software Development team within Boeing Phantom Works Network Centric Operations
Develop and prototype sensor-fusion algorithms for tactical fighter aircraft network operations
Evaluate algorithm performance against key performance indicators and transition successful prototypes into production-ready capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
2+ years' experience with sensors, sensor management and fusion, datalinks, and/or weapons and their interactions
2+ years' experience with data fusion engines, kinematic correlation techniques and Kalman filters
Experience with pattern recognition, multi-modal sensor data fusion, sensor calibration and visualization technologies
Data Fusion analysis/software development experience
Experience with sensor data such as Radar and various infrared sensors
Experience developing and implementing probabilistic models, including Bayesian reasoning, Kalman filtering and evidence theory
Experience with advanced probability statistics and applying them in real-world scenarios
Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations
Technical assessment required; failure to complete removes candidate from consideration
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
