About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and validate requirements for communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components
Develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects, and structures
Develop architectures integrating systems and components into higher-level systems and platforms
Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analysis to predict performance and optimize designs
Define and conduct tests to validate design performance against requirements
Manage appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance
Provide lifecycle product support through root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support
Support project management with work statements, budgets, schedules, inputs, and status reporting
Write proposal sections supporting new business development
Work under general direction
Join engineers, analysts, and staff developing, assembling, integrating, and testing a constellation of satellites

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance post-start
U.S. Citizenship required for the security clearance
U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally
Experience with space and/or airborne systems preferred
Experience with optical design preferred
Experience working on opto-mechanical and/or electromechanical designs preferred
Experience with systems design, integration, and test preferred
Experience designing and/or modeling electro-optical systems preferred
Experience with Matlab or Mathematica preferred
Experience with Zemax, CodeV, or equivalent software preferred
Experience with optics, lasers, optical alignment, opto-mechanical, and optical metrology preferred
Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
