About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support firmware and software research and development projects

  • Support hardware, firmware, and software development of electro-optical systems
  • Contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of embedded electro-mechanical pointing and tracking control systems
  • Assume ownership of the architecture, development, and long-term health of a key application

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance or equivalent after starting
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-U.S. equivalent qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience testing embedded systems in a laboratory environment
  • 2+ years of experience programming with Python, Java, C, C++, or MATLAB
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Mid-Level: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP
  • Experience with black box, white box, integration, system, and performance testing
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test reports
  • Experience troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues
  • Experience using debugging tools and techniques
  • Experience isolating and reproducing bugs
  • Hands-on experience setting up and configuring embedded-system test environments
  • Experience with MATLAB or Mathematica for performance analysis
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and signal generators
  • Experience with telescopes and electro-optical systems
  • Experience in OS driver development
