About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead planning, design, development, and verification of complex lifecycle-balanced systems of systems and system solutions
Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces
Support analyses to optimize total systems of systems and/or system architecture
Develop, maintain, and improve requirements management processes
Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance software solutions
Support software system design activities, including SRS and hardware/software IRS development
Integrate completed software components into fully functional software systems through mission and system testing
Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership
Support IPT development and integration schedules alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline
Support software/firmware development for Boeing Defense, Space & Security satellite systems engineering
Work with modern technology, architecture, tools, and a Model Based Systems Engineering approach for satellite and ground systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
3+ years of experience with systems engineering for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning and data processing
3+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle, including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test
1+ years of experience supporting systems engineering and/or software development projects
1+ years of experience supporting software requirements specification writing
Experience working in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies
Experience with Software Requirements Specification development
Experience with interface definition between multiple software systems and between hardware and software
Experience with systems design for hardware/software systems and developing system-level design flows/threads informing software requirements/design
Experience with formal acceptance testing activities, including FQT, FAT, and SAT
Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required
Ability to satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
