About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Python and modern web frameworks
- Develop frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Own end-to-end features across design, implementation, testing, and delivery
- Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces integrating with RESTful APIs
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for frontend and backend code
- Perform constructive code reviews and mentor engineers on best practices
- Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and QA
- Use Git for source control and run CI/CD pipelines
- Work in Docker-based development environments and coordinate with OS/DevOps teams
- Stay current with web standards, browser support, and emerging platform features
- Contribute to estimation, sprint planning, and continuous process improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- English proficiency
- Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with React ecosystem or other modern frontend frameworks
- Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with relational or non-relational databases
- Experience developing web services and RESTful APIs
- Experience with a Python web framework such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
- Solid experience with Git and code review workflows
- Experience writing unit and integration tests across frontend and backend
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Experience with CI/CD, test automation, and observability
- Understanding of web application security best practices
- Demonstrated experience mentoring peers and leading technical design discussions
- English proficiency
